I've been working on a small game of my own - Kaboom Kitty. It's a 2D retro-ish "shooter..." maybe? (Let me know of a better name if you come up with one Smile ) of sorts, in which you control a kitten who must blow up all of the evil ninjas.

I'm trying to get the word out so as many people can play it as possible. If you'd like to spare 5-10 minutes of your day to help me out, I'd be really grateful.

Interesting concept, i love the retro feel to it, may i ask what languge you are developing this in? I'v been working on a few project's my self in c++/SFML, c#/XNA, Considering just going to sdl, but its getting very old pale

Overall a good game, Love the name, was the window re sizable? if it wasn't, make a smaller window optional, i like playing games with 1600x600 on a 1920x1080 monitor Wink

Game Maker.
Embarassed I did use a few chunks of GML, though; it wasn't all drag'n'drop.

I started it a little over a year ago, and that's what really got me started in programming. Up until then, I just wanted to do graphics and animations, not code. But now I'm learning Visual Basic and a little Java, and hoping to get some experience with C/C# within the next year or so.

Thanks for the feedback, though! Very Happy I don't know why I didn't think of implementing a resizable window. I'll definitely throw that in next time I update.

Awesome man! i started with game maker like 5 years ago! spent a few years using GML, great place to learn the basics of programming, from there you can move on to something like java, or a C based language, good luck with the game! Smile

I'd have to say its retro, arcade shooter aspect, i love the feel of old space games, i didn't have a chance to play to much of it, will do sometime soon though, if there's not, be sure to add upgrades that allow you to shoot 4 bullets at a time, like in the old space shooters Wink
